We were tennants living in the UK and subsequently in Germany, France and Denmark. We saw both good and bad practices!
We decided 4 years ago that we wanted to create great living spaces in the Midlands. But with our 20 year backgrounds in hotel management, project management and business improvement we felt we still needed to get additional expertise around property management in the UK - so we embarked on a the task of finding and working with the best coaches and expertise in this field to initially support intensively as we set up the business and latterly as executive advisors. It is here I believe we have differentiated ourselves from amateur and seemingly professional landlords.
We have successfully developed valuable networks across the Midlands, financed and converted multiple properties are now classified as Portfolio Landlords (the category for professional landlords with >4 properties). Every property we own has past inspection the first time and we are proud that they are part of the Green Light Homes portfolio.
Our systems and processes have grown as we have to ensure our business and properties are safe, compliant, comfortable and competitive.
In 2020 we took the portfolio from 14 rooms and 2 ensuites with 5 other bathrooms to 21 rooms with 11 ensuites and 4 other bathrooms. Even during the recent challenging times our occupancy levels for available rooms is at 92% since we started.
